My Favorite Girlfriends' Getaways

Ladies, what better way to spend your weekend than on a getaway with your best girlfriends? I just love Macon for a girls weekend - whether we spend an afternoon at a day spa like Utopia Salon & Spa, take a tour of historic attractions like Hay House and Cannonball House, hit all the gift shops in town, or a combination of all three, Macon's a great destination for the girls to take a quick trip. Not to mention some of the best dining in Georgia! Adriana's cafe is a great comfortable spot for a casual lunch or dinner, and the Tic Toc Room's piano bar provides great live entertainment on Friday & Saturday nights, not to mention simply fabulous martinis. That's just a few of the things I like about Macon - go check it out for yourself!

Take the family to Mesa to see the Chicago Cubs!

Great springtime family vacation idea - pack up the kids and head to Mesa, Arizona and take in some baseball games! The Chicago Cubs make Mesa their home for Spring Training, starting in February. You can find some great Spring Training travel packages, or you can make your own plan - there are lots of family-friendly hotels in Mesa, as well as other fun activities, like great golf, museums, old west towns to visit, and more.

Went to Tampa last week, can't wait to go back!

Sadly, I don't get to just spend all my time traveling - I have to work, too. Sometimes I get to do both - last week I went to a convention in Tampa Bay, and it was one of the best I've ever been to. The facility was beautiful - the Tampa Convention Center - from the fantastic catering to the meeting rooms with waterfront views, if I were planning a convention, I'd definitely go back there. On the plus side, I got to stay an extra day after the convention was over, and had a great time shopping in Tampa Bay, as well as a a trip to the Salvador Dali Museum. I highly recommend Tampa Bay for business travel, and I'd like to back there for a family vacation sometime.
